In Gaziantep, the 2nd CAMPEX Camping Caravan and Outdoor Sports Fair was opened with a ceremony.
Speaking at the opening of the fair organized at the Middle East Fair Center with the support of Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO), Metropolitan Municipality and KOSGEB, Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin said that they care about caravan tourism.
Stating that there is a great change and transformation in the world, Şahin said that it is necessary to manage change and be renewed.
Şahin said that he believes that the world’s biggest fairs can be held in Gaziantep and that the city has this energy.
GSO President Adnan Ünverdi also stated that he believes that the fair, which they organized for the second time, will lead the next fairs and said, “We have come from fairs that started in tents to today. Our goal is 1 fair in 1 month. Because it is the fairs that contribute to the city and contribute to the tradesmen. We are aware of this, but we are also aware of something else, the environment. In these days when the environment is becoming more prominent day by day, caravan tourism needs to develop further in order to protect the environment.”
Later, Deputy Governor Hüseyin Kaptan and members of the protocol visited the stands with caravans and camping equipment at the fair.
In addition to companies from Gaziantep, 30 companies and 70 brands from Afyonkarahisar, Bursa, Istanbul, Kahramanmaraş, Kocaeli, Konya, Muğla, Sakarya, Sakarya and Tekirdağ will be open to nature lovers until November 5.

Istanbul 4th Caravan and Equipment, Tiny House, Outdoor and Camping Equipment Fair Karavanist, Turkey’s largest event in its field, which is a unique supply center for the caravan sector and nature tourism, which has started to gain an important place in the Turkish economy, opened at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul.
Istanbul 4th Caravan and Equipment, Tiny House, Outdoor and Camping Equipment Fair Karavanist, Turkey’s largest event in its field, which is a unique supply center for the caravan sector and nature tourism, which has started to gain an important place in the Turkish economy, opened at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul.
According to Tüyap Fuarlar Yapım AŞ, visitors from 65 countries, including the Balkans and Europe, will be able to enjoy a colorful calendar of events including talks, games and competitions as well as innovative products.
The fair, organized by Tüyap Fuarcılık Group in cooperation with the Caravan Manufacturers and Suppliers Association (KAİTED) and with the support of the National Camping and Caravan Federation (UKKF), brings together caravan and nature enthusiasts at Tüyap Istanbul Fair and Congress Center between January 6-14, 2024.
Bringing together the most prestigious companies and brands of the sector from Turkey and abroad, the fair brings together tourism professionals, travel and nature lovers with the latest caravan models with its wide range of exhibitors.
In the fair, which is Turkey’s largest caravan fair, motorhomes, towing caravans, van type caravans, special purpose vehicles, mobile service caravans, commercial caravans, 4×4, SUV vehicles, travel trailers, new generation hybrid caravans powered by electricity, caravan interior decoration products, solar panels, satellite systems, shower and water systems, all kinds of products from A to Z related to caravan and camping, outdoor materials, camping products and tiny house models are exhibited. The fair, which has grown by 100 percent compared to last year, is being held this year in 8 halls on an area of 70 thousand square meters. Visitors are expected from 63 countries, mainly from the Balkans and Europe.
There are 500 caravan manufacturers operating in Turkey and 2 thousand motorhomes and 20 thousand towed caravans are produced annually. The trade volume of the sector has reached 500 million dollars. Turkey is taking firm steps towards becoming an important player in the sector. Strong brands continue to invest in quality products and sustainable service. Approximately 20 percent of the caravans sold in Turkey are imported.
İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of Tüyap Fairs Construction Co., whose speech was given at the official opening ceremony of the fair, stated that as Tüyap Fair Organization Group, they hosted Karavanist, the first fair of 2024, and that the Caravan Fair continued its uninterrupted growth in its 4th year.
Ersözlü noted that they opened their doors this year with 100 percent growth compared to last year and said, “Our fair is ready with the participation of 180 companies in 8 halls. Turkey’s most important manufacturers, exporter markets, the most important founders in the sector are taking part in our fair. We are opening the biggest fair of our country and region. We would like to thank KAITED, UKKF and the entire board of directors for our cooperation in the preparation of this fair. I wish the fair to be auspicious for the caravan sector.”
Serkan Köksal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Caravan Manufacturers and Suppliers Association (KAITED), stated that their path will be towards Europe in 2025 with a better, more comprehensive fair and said, “Our hope is to make progress with plenty of sales. We would like to thank Tüyap and all contributors.”
Leyla Özdağ, President of the National Camping and Caravan Federation, stated that the National Camping and Caravan Federation is the only federation in the country in its sector.
Özdağ said, “Caravan and fair companies have become a unifying force. My wish is that Tüyap will take this further by making it even bigger in the Istanbul destination. The unity of users in the private sector on behalf of the country, on behalf of the country’s gains is very important. I thank you for this unity.”
